So Many Adhesives, WHY?

When I first began to take card classes, I often wondered why my demonstrator had so many adhesives. I was sure it was because she wanted to get us to buy glue we didn't need. Guess what? As I've worked in this industry, I've seen it's like any other industry, you use the correct tool for the task at hand.

I soon saw the benefit of different adhesives as I made more and more cards and projects. Using the correct adhesive makes the project go smoother and look nicer.

Our different adhesives are used for different purposes.

#1 is Foam adhesive strips. They are foam strips which give a lift to cardstock or images.

#2 Fine-Tip Glue Pen has a narrow neck to apply glue to small embellishments, glitter or detailed die cuts. It has an attached silver piece that fits into the barrel of the bottle to keep from clogging.

#3 Mini Glue Dots have many uses such as holding embellishments. ribbon and detailed die cuts on cardstock.

#4 Stampin' Dimensionals are foam shapes that give height to images, sentiments, embellishments and ribbon.

#5 Mini Stampin' Dimensionals are smaller foam shapes used just like Stampin' Dimensionals.

#6 Tear & Tape adhesive is double-sided adhesive which holds large embellishments, ribbon and 3D object.

#7 Multipurpose Liquid Glue can be used for most cardmaking except ribbon. Liquid glue enables movement once placed on cardstock. It enables shifting to straighten or center items.

#8 Tape Adhesive used to be called, Snail. Stampin' Up has two new products called, Stampin' Seal and Stampin' Seal + (Stampin' Seal Plus)

Stampin' Seal is a double-sided tape runner used for paper, ribbon and typical card making needs.

Stampin' Seal + (Plus) is for projects where more strength is needed, such as ribbon or 3D items.

Stampin' Seal and Stampin' Seal + are available in the new 2020-2021 Catalog.
