Technique Tuesday-Sponging

The technique for today is sponging. Look around the edge of the image and sentiment. The bit of color you see is from something called a sponge dauber. It is a hollow piece of plastic with a sponge on the end. You place your finger into the opening, then tap into ink and brush across the paper to give a soft, inked look.

This is my sponge dauber container. You will notice that I have labeled my daubers.

The sponge daubers are placed by colors, then alphabetized.

The chart makes it easier to find the dauber I want, more quickly.

This box shuts tight and is stored in my desk drawer for quick access.
